Address horizontal violence/workplace bullying

Workplace bullying or horizontal violence is an international phenomenon. The personal and industrial costs are escalating and the phenomenon is estimated to be the fastest growing workplace occupational health and safety risk. In Australia the costs of violence is estimated to be $1.5 billion

• Sleep disorders
• Poor self esteem
• Hypertension
• Eating disorders
• Nervous conditions
• Low morale
• Apathy
• Disconnectedness
• Depression
• Impaired personal relationships
• Removal of self from workplace – psychologically, physically (sick leave, stress leave, resignation)
• Suicide (successful or attempted)

Many organizations are taking measures to minimise workplace bullying through the implementation of human resource policies. One initiative in Australia is the Steps to Respect program which Heartlogic is an active contributor.

Heartlogic's Creating Positive Workplace Cultures program is a 12 month program of which 90% is driven and owned by the organisation. Heartlogic provides the exercises and mentoring to support human relationship skill development and healthy behavioural change.
